Influence of base oil
Cycloalkyl mineral oil, poly α-olefin oil (PAO), ester oil and its mixed oil are the base oils used by most low-noise greases. Different base oils and different viscosities have different noise reduction effects on greases. Within a certain range, the noise of grease decreases with the increase of base oil viscosity, but due to the high speed application of motor bearings, from the perspective of temperature rise and power consumption, low viscosity base oil tends to be used.

Influence of thickener
Different types and structures of thickeners have different noise reduction effects on greases. Soap fiber structure and soap content have a certain influence on bearing noise. Lithium-based grease and polyurea-based grease have better noise reduction effects. The influence of thickener on grease noise is mainly reflected in the structure of soap fibers. Under certain conditions, short fiber soap has a better noise reduction effect, but requires a higher cleanliness.
Influence of additives
Additives in greases can improve certain properties of greases and enhance the performance of greases, but the addition of additives (especially some polar additives) will have a certain influence on the colloidal structure of greases.
