Adding appropriate amount of water to coal can improve combustion efficiency. When the water content in coal is 8%-10%, the highest boiler benefit is achieved.

Lump coal with a particle size (3-25 mm) is most suitable for combustion, so coal containing a large amount of fine powder will burn well after being granulated. The fine powder will not be blown away or leaked, which is equivalent to increasing the amount of combustible material, thereby increasing the calorific value and improving the thermal efficiency of the boiler.
