1. Equipment type
Rolling bearings
It is usually appropriate to fill 1/3 to 1/2 of the internal space of the bearing. Too much grease may cause increased friction and heat, and too little grease may not provide sufficient lubrication.
Sliding bearings
The amount of additives is relatively large, and generally it is necessary to ensure that there is enough grease between the shaft and the bearing to form an oil film. For specific dosages, please refer to the equipment manual or consult the equipment manufacturer.
2. Working conditions
High-speed equipment
less grease is required to reduce friction and heat. Generally, it can be appropriately reduced to about 1/3 of the internal space of the bearing. In harsh environments such as heavy loads, high temperatures, and humidity: the amount of grease added may need to be increased to ensure good lubrication and protection.
