    When the friction part of the equipment is in motion, the grease will not be thrown out by the centrifugal force like the lubricating oil, and will not splash out from the poorly sealed parts. Therefore, there will be no dripping or splashing of oil, which can ensure that the environment is not polluted or less polluted, and can also prevent contamination of products. Classic lubricant experts said that this advantage is very important in the papermaking, textile and food processing industries.

    Secondly, the operating temperature range of grease is relatively wide compared to lubricating oil. For example, general lithium-based grease can be used in the temperature range of -20~120℃, and general calcium-based or sodium-based grease can also be used at -20~60℃ or -20~120℃. However, the operating temperature range of some lubricants is much narrower.

    There is also the pressure resistance between the two. The adsorption capacity of grease on the metal surface is much greater than that of lubricating oil, and grease can form a relatively strong oil film, so it can withstand a relatively high workload, which is due to the large amount of polar substances contained in the grease. In addition, if we can use it as a base grease and add polar additives, the sensitivity brought is also better than that of lubricating oil.

    Then, there is the comparison of the buffering and shock absorption between the two. Since the viscosity and oiliness of grease are better than those of lubricating oil, for some machines that often require changes in the direction of movement and withstand huge impact forces, the use of grease can play a certain role in buffering and shock absorption. For example, lubrication parts such as crankshafts, universal joints, and crushers. On some parts, such as gear transmission devices, grease can also reduce noise. In general, lubricants are poor at cushioning and reducing noise.
