Notices When Replacing the Grease of the Tractor Hub Bearing
Preparation
Tool preparation: Prepare appropriate tools, such as wrenches, jacks, special bearing removal tools, etc.
Cleaning supplies: Prepare kerosene or special bearing cleaning agents for cleaning, as well as clean rags for cleaning bearings and hubs and other parts.
Grease selection: According to the use environment and requirements of the tractor, select grease with qualified quality and suitable performance, such as lithium-based grease.
Disassembly process
Safe support: Use a jack to lift the tractor and fix it with a safety bracket to ensure that the vehicle does not fall accidentally during operation.
Cleaning old grease: After removing the bearing from the hub, thoroughly clean the bearing with kerosene or cleaning agent to remove old grease and impurities. You can use a soft brush to brush gently, but be careful not to damage the raceway and rolling element of the bearing.
Installation and filling
Appropriate filling: Reinstall the cleaned bearing into the hub and then fill it with grease. Be careful not to fill too much, generally 1/2 - 2/3 of the bearing space. Too much grease may cause bearing overheating and grease leakage.
Install in place: Install the hub and other parts in the correct order, make sure each part is installed firmly, and tighten the bolts according to the specified torque to prevent the bolts from loosening or damaging the parts.
