Effects of using wheel rim lubrication system
The wheel rim lubrication system is compact and simple, with great economic benefits.
(1) Wheel rim wear is greatly reduced, greatly extending the service life of wheels and rails. After research, the German Federal Railways Technical Center found that in actual application, on a line with many curves, the distance that locomotive wheels could travel before the next grinding cycle was only 10,000-20,000 km. After installing and using wheel rim lubrication equipment, this distance can be increased to 100,000-200,000 km under the same line conditions. At present, after using high-performance wheel rim lubrication equipment, the distance traveled by locomotives before the next grinding cycle has reached 400,000 km or even more.
(2) Reduced noise, especially on curves and turnouts. The noise of vehicles running can reach 100dB in the past, and even higher when running on curves and tunnels; and the noise of subways running in cities or residential areas directly affects the comfort of passengers and disturbs residents along the line. The use of high-performance wheel rim lubrication system reduces noise while reducing wear between wheels and rails. The measurement results in Budapest, Hungary show that after adopting the high-performance wheel flange lubrication system, the noise value is reduced by 30dB, which reduces the original squeaking noise of the vehicle during operation and avoids the sparks between the wheel and the track when turning.
(3) Reduce running resistance and reduce the probability of train derailment. Excessive friction between the wheel flange and the rail angle can easily cause the train wheels to climb and derail. After adopting wheel flange lubrication, the roughness of the rail angle is reduced and the friction resistance is reduced.
(4) The lubricant used in the current wheel flange lubrication system is generally biodegradable synthetic oil, which is a fluid lipid.
