Total Energy launches engine oil recycling service in Vietnam

Total Energy Vietnam Marketing Company and Vietnamese local enterprise Cao Gia Quy Environmental Company officially signed a cooperation agreement on waste oil recycling, marking an important step in the in-depth cooperation between the two parties in the field of environmental protection.
According to the agreement, Cao Gia Quy will be fully responsible for collecting waste engine oil from Quartz Automotive Service, Hi-Perf Moto Service Workshop and B2B commercial customer network under Total Energy Vietnam. As a leader in Vietnam's waste oil recycling industry, Cao Gia Quy has focused on the waste oil re-refining base oil business since 2014. With a nationwide collection network and an annual processing capacity of more than 23,000 tons, it has firmly established its leading position in the industry.
As an important promoter of Vietnam's circular economy transformation, Cao Gia Quy has successfully converted waste lubricating oil into high-value base oil with its waste oil collection infrastructure and environmentally friendly re-refining technology. Its professional capabilities and national layout make it an ideal partner for multinational companies to implement sustainable development strategies.
This cooperation is in line with Vietnam's newly revised Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations, which require lubricant companies to recycle at least 15% of waste oil or donate to environmental protection funds. Mehmet Celepoglu, Vice President of Total Energy Asia Pacific Middle East, said: "We are honored to be the first company to cooperate with Vietnam's largest waste oil recycler. In the future, we will continue to deepen social cooperation and help achieve the net zero goal by 2050."
